t400 costs more than money with Lenovo

This is ridiculous. I just bought a t400, completely maxed out, for just over $2,000. To start with, I’ve had trouble with their tech support and billing not even knowing how to get around the system (the one they use,) had them tell me I was basically making things up, been unable to get through the phone system, and had the site not only crash, but try to overcharge me by over $1000. Fortunately for them, I need the durability of a thinkpad. Today, however, my problems started with my bank. They, for some stupid reason, denied my card when Lenovo tried to charge to it. I got the notice within ten minutes after the bank closed. I had money in the account for it too. I was given a number to call Lenovo with when I knew what was going on, so I decided I’d call and find out if I could change payment type to Paypal, since there has never been an issue with it. Apparently, nobody works there anymore. I’ve been trying for hours to get some sort of a response, but all I can get is an automated voice message stating that there is an unusually high call volume, or they’re closed. Closed all day Wednesday, I don’t think so. The call volume was even too high until the moment they closed. It’s ridiculous. I’m stuck trying again tomorrow, but I may try a toughbook if I still can’t get in contact with them.

Update:10/9/08 Contacted the bank and Lenovo, but had to call on a sales line (not what they told me to do) They’re going to try again after lifting restrictions on my card.

Update: 9/12/08 Got excited when I received a shipment conformation. Turns out they shipped it wrong. I asked that all orders be held until my laptop was done when I ordered it. They messed up, so now I’ll have a crapload of useless accessories here Wednesday, and won’t have the laptop ’till god-knows-when.
