HP Omnibook 3000

I am amazed at what some of these older computers can do. My recent experiences with HP have not been good, and I wouldn’t pay more than I’m guaranteed in parts for one. The last semi-new one I’ve dealt with didn’t last it’s warranty period, and died again shortly after it was over. Even so, they, at one point, made quality laptops. I have, sitting here beside me, and old HP Omnibook 3000CTX. It works like a charm, and I haven’t had to replace anything in it since I got it. I only paid $15 for it at the hosstraders back when they still had it. I only use it for IMing and such, but it’s been the most reliable machine in my room since I put Debian on it. The only thing I wish I had is a battery and a CD-rom. Both I can get off eBay. It runs right now off it’s original adapter, as it refuses to use anything else. Even so, its a great computer. I’d advise anyone who can to pick up an old laptop to play around with, it’s worth it.
